About this workshop

This one day workshop is an opportunity for past participants of "Teaching and Learning with Monarch Butterflies" to update their knowledge about monarch butterflies, learn about new curriculum resources and share ideas. If it's been a while since your course and you want to refresh your knowledge or you just want an opportunity to connect with other passionate educators to share ideas, then come out to Cambridge! The cost for the workshop is $45 + HST which includes lunch and snacks.

Location

Cambridge Butterfly Conservatory is open year-round and features a 10,000 square foot conservatory that is home to over 2000 free-flying tropical butterflies, as well as a variety of birds, turtles, and fish.  During the summer months, our large outdoor butterfly garden is a registered Monarch Watch Waystation, and is designed to attract a variety of native butterflies; it features several species of milkweed including Common, Tropical, Swamp, and Butterfly Weed, as well as a variety of native nectar plants that bloom throughout the summer.  We are easily accessable from the 401 and less than 5 minutes from Waterloo International Airport.
