Monarch Teacher Network of Canada FAQ

 1. What is included in the cost of the workshop?

The workshop fee includes expert instruction, a resource package, as well as light snacks on both days. Please note that your meals, travel, and accommodations are NOT included in the cost of the workshop.

2. What should I bring to the workshop?

Please bring appropriate outdoor clothing and footwear for the weather; consider a wide brimmed hat, sunscreen, a water bottle, travel mug, and don't forget your lunch! We strongly recommend bringing a camera, as well as a notebook and pen.

3. How do I obtain a copy of my completed registration form for my records?

If you are mailing in your registration form, please photocopy it prior to sending for your records.  If you have registered online, please refer to your confirmation page; you are able to go back into your registration form and make changes at any time.  If you are finding any challenges to making changes, please contact Natalie Swaak at nswaak@trca.on.ca (289) 268-3913.

4. How do I obtain a receipt for my registration payment?

For online registrations your confirmation email includes payment information and may be considered your receipt. Receipts will be available when you check-in on the first day of your workshop if you pay by cheque.

5. What is your Privacy Policy?

Information collected on your registration form is used only for the purposes of this workshop, and will not be given to others or sold. If you wish to have continued contact with MTN of C after the workshop, you must offer your consent to further contact in writing or online.

6. Are workshops guaranteed to run?

All workshops require a minimum number of participants to run.  As well, unforeseen circumstances, such as weather phenomena, could also force the cancellation of a workshop.  If MTN of Canada must cancel a workshop, we will gladly refund all cleared registration fees as quickly as possible, or, if you prefer, we can transfer your registration fee to another workshop.

7. Do I need a permit to collect Monarchs?

In some provinces this is a regulated activity. For more information about permits click here.
